Job summary

Cisco Systems, Inc. is seeking a HW Board and System Design engineer for Edge and Access routing products in North Carolina.

You will own hardware design activities from architecture through bring-up, validation, and qualification, coordinating with software, diagnostics, manufacturing, and test teams. You should have 7+ years in hardware board design, experience taking designs to production, and hands-on work with x86/ARM, DDR4/DDR5, PCIe, SATA, USB.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hardware board design and development.
• Experience taking a design from concept to production.
• Experience with x86 and/or ARM processors.
• Experience with DDR4/DDR5 memory, PCIe, SATA and USB interfaces.
• Cadence Allegro Design Entry HDL (Concept HDL) experience.

Responsibilities

• Participate in system hardware design.
• Contribute to hardware specification, design, development and test.
• Work under department strategy and direction.
• Collaborate with software, diagnostics, manufacturing, marketing, EDVT and MDVT test teams.
