Job summary

Google Sunnyvale, CA, USA seeks a Hardware Manufacturing Automation Technical Lead to drive strategy, design, and deployment of automated manufacturing systems for data center hardware. You will lead cross-functional teams across NPI, Product Design, Quality, and manufacturing partners, setting the automation roadmap to enable high-yield, scalable production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years hardware manufacturing experience.
• Experience with PLCs, multi-axis robots, conveyors, sensors.
• Experience with DFMA and DFA analyses on electromechanical assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end automation roadmap for data center hardware.
• Act as primary decision-maker for complex technical architecture and robotics integration.
• Achieve consensus across NPI, Product Design, Quality, and manufacturing partners; incorporate DfMA feedback.
• Establish relationships with global contract manufacturers and automation integrators; ensure FAT/SAT readiness.
• Translate hardware designs into high-yield, resilient environments for long-term, high-volume production; set standards and coach teams.
