Job summary

Norman Regional Health System is seeking a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) to provide specialized rehabilitation for the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder. The role includes evaluations, custom splinting, and recovery planning within an outpatient setting.

Responsibilities include supervising OT staff and students, coordinating with hand surgeons, and delivering comprehensive post-surgical and injury rehab, including scar management and return-to-work programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• Doctor of Physical Therapy or Doctor of Occupational Therapy preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• 3+ years of upper-extremity rehab and outpatient therapy.
• Current state PT or OT license.
• Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) credential.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial and ongoing assessments and establish plan of care.
• Provide therapeutic interventions appropriate to age and disability.
• Document delivery of Occupational Therapy services.
• Directs and supervises OT Assistants, students and support personnel.
• Design, fabricate, fit and adjust custom orthoses and splints.
• Collaborate with hand surgeons, orthopedic physicians, and other professionals; participate in care planning.
