The ideal candidate has 3+ years in upper-extremity rehab, holds a current OT/PT license, and CHT certification, with strong documentation and leadership abilities. Competitive hourly pay and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in OT or PT is required.
• Doctor of Physical Therapy or Doctor of Occupational Therapy preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• 3+ years in upper-extremity rehab and outpatient therapy.
• Current state PT or OT license; CHT credential.
• CPR/BLS certification current.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient’s condition and establish plan of care.
• Provide therapeutic interventions appropriate to age and disability of the patient.
• Document delivery of Occupational Therapy services.
• Directs and supervises activities of OTAs, students and support personnel.
• Design, fabricate, fit, and adjust custom orthoses and splints for hand and upper-extremity conditions.
• Educate patients on orthosis wear, care, and precautions.
• Treat orthopedic, traumatic, burn, tendon, nerve, and postoperative conditions.
• Provide scar management, edema control, wound care, and return-to-work rehab as appropriate.
• Collaborate with hand surgeons, orthopedic physicians, PTs, and other healthcare professionals.
• Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and case discussions.
