Job summary

Norman Regional Health System seeks a Certified Hand Therapist to lead advanced hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder rehabilitation. The role includes evaluation, custom splinting, and recovery plan development, with collaboration across surgeons and therapists.

Qualified candidates hold a state PT/OT license and CHT; a bachelor’s degree is required, OT/PT doctoral training preferred, and experience in upper-extremity rehab. Compensation reflects 36.63–59.83 USD per hour with broad benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required for OT/PT practice.
• Doctor of Physical Therapy or Doctor of Occupational Therapy preferred.
• Graduate of an Accredited Occupational Therapy program.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial and ongoing assessments; establish plan of care.
• Provide therapeutic interventions appropriate to age and disability.
• Document delivery of Occupational Therapy services.
• Directs and supervises OT Assistants, students and support personnel.
• Design, fabricate, fit, and adjust custom orthoses and splints for hand/upper-extremity.
• Educate patients on orthosis wear, care, and precautions.
• Treat orthopedic, traumatic, burn, tendon, nerve, and postoperative conditions.
• Provide scar management, edema control, wound care, and return-to-work rehab.
• Collaborate with hand surgeons, orthopedic physicians, PTs, and other professionals.
• Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and case discussions.
