Qualifications

• Extensive experience designing, configuring, developing, integrating, and supporting Guidewire applications in a Property and Casualty environment.
• Hands-on experience with at least one Guidewire application: PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, or BillingCenter.
• Strong knowledge of P&C concepts, workflows, and data.
• Expert knowledge of Guidewire configuration and development concepts.
• Guidewire integration patterns and technologies including APIs, web services, messaging, plugins, and batch processing.
• Proficiency with Gosu, Java, SQL, XML, and web technologies.
• Knowledge of OO analysis/design, multi-tier architecture, and secure coding.
• Experience with databases, data analysis, and query optimization.
• Experience with source control, CI, automated testing, deployment pipelines, and release practices.
• Ability to lead design discussions, mentor engineers, and communicate decisions to stakeholders.
• Strong communication, planning, and multi-tasking skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the lead technical expert for Guidewire-based applications in a P&C environment.
• Lead design, configuration, development, integration, testing, implementation, and production support for PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, or BillingCenter.
• Translate business needs into secure, scalable Guidewire solutions with stakeholders.
• Provide technical direction, review designs, and promote best practices.
• Design and support integrations using APIs, web services, messaging, and batch processing.
• Troubleshoot issues across Guidewire environments and perform root cause analysis.
• Lead root cause analyses for production incidents and ensure stability after releases.
• Refine user stories, acceptance criteria, technical requirements, and implementation plans.
• Implement Agile/Scrum and DevOps practices, including CI, automated testing, and deployment automation.
• Ensure configurations comply with security and quality standards.
• Maintain technical documentation and support materials.
• Mentor engineers and share knowledge on Guidewire development and delivery practices.
• Monitor platform capabilities and contribute to continuous improvement.
