Job summary

RTX is seeking a Senior Subsystem Engineer in Tucson, AZ to join the Advanced Effector Guidance Systems team. The role focuses on testing, validation, and integration of Guidance Electronics while collaborating with design, program, and government customers.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in RF/digital hardware, subsystem requirements, and MBSE practices, with a DoD security clearance. Onsite office/lab environment with travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience.
• Experience with electrical hardware development and/or testing.
• Experience in sub-systems, systems engineering requirement development and/or requirement validation.
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Integrate and validate electronics; analyze hardware designs; develop and document subsystem requirements and test plans; perform peer reviews and present findings to peers and government customers.
• Contribute to root-cause failure investigations and collaborate with design teams on architecture refinement.
• Support multiple programs and work in a lab with instrumentation and test equipment; occasional travel may be required.
