Job summary

RTX is seeking a Senior Subsystem Engineer to join the Advanced Effector Guidance Systems Team in the Tucson area. The role focuses on integration and validation of missile guidance electronics, with emphasis on testing, analysis, and requirements development.

Occasional travel and lab work are expected. Ideal candidates have a STEM degree, 5+ years in hardware development or testing, and an active DoD security clearance.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in electrical hardware development and/or testing.
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required; U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Integrate and validate electronics during development phase; test hardware and analyze performance.
• Develop and document subsystem requirements and test plans; participate in design reviews as SME.
• Mentor/guide junior engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams and government customers.
