Cogent Security is building its go-to-market hiring function, and the first dedicated recruiter will play a central role in how the team finds, evaluates, and closes talent. This Senior GTM Recruiter position is based onsite in San Francisco, CA, and will own sales recruiting end to end while expanding into marketing and other business roles as hiring needs grow.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience in startups or high-growth tech.
• Proven track record building enterprise sales teams at a B2B company.
• Strong sourcing depth with referral programs.
• Experience closing candidates in competitive processes with persuasive communication.
• Ability to manage a high volume of open roles with a strong candidate experience.
• Comfort using data to drive hiring decisions and push back with stakeholders.
• Proficiency with AI recruiting tools in daily work.

Responsibilities

• Own full-cycle recruiting for the sales organization, with scope to expand into marketing and other business roles as the company grows.
• Partner with founders, executives, and hiring leaders to plan searches and define how go-to-market hiring runs at Cogent Security.
• Map the market and benchmark competitor sales teams to identify top performers who may not yet be looking, then run outbound sourcing to reach them.
• Build a referral program that turns your team’s network into a steady pipeline of hires.
• Develop understanding of the product and sales motion to assess sellers in context, and collaborate with Marketing on the go-to-market story used with candidates.
• Close top candidates in competitive processes and guide them through offer decisions.
• Coach hiring managers and interviewers on structured interviewing so candidates are assessed consistently against the same bar.
• Track recruiting metrics including time-to-fill, pass-through rates, and source quality; report progress to leadership.
