Backstory, the AI answers platform for sales teams, seeks a Sr. Director of GTM Operations in the United States. You will own the metrics, systems, cadences, and commercial operations that power a lean, AI-driven growth engine.

Lead data modeling, forecasting, pricing approvals, CRM governance, and cross-functional enablement. You will unify Sales, CS, and Partnerships under one operating system and report to the SVP of Customer Value.

Qualifications

• Builder instinct to create functions and processes from scratch.
• Deep understanding of AI tooling and deploying AI in workflows.
• Fluency in GTM operations and business model changes.
• Understanding of CRM, data warehousing, and AI data layers.
• Strong ARR forecasting knowledge and executive communication.

Responsibilities

• Instrument the full customer journey and define data models.
• Connect product usage and billing data to revenue systems.
• Govern CRM fields and data quality with automation and standards.
• Design forecasting rhythms for a consumption-based model.
• Present quarterly results and forward guidance to the ELT.
• Deliver AI-driven reporting and self-serve analytics.
• Lead CPQ, pricing approvals, and lead routing in a unified system.
• Drive adoption signals and feed into revenue forecasts.
• Run reviews and improve GTM operations with data-driven insights.
