Job summary

Homebase is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager for Product Growth to own the growth engine from first click to paid customer. You will partner with Product, Design, Data, and Marketing to ship high-impact experiments and scale AI-powered personalization and onboarding intelligence.

You will lead a team of engineers to accelerate top-of-funnel conversion while maintaining architectural discipline and rapid delivery. This role emphasizes collaboration, velocity, and impact on core metrics.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience, including 4+ years managing engineering teams.
• Track record leading growth, platform, or product engineering in a fast-paced SaaS or consumer tech environment.
• Robust fluency in growth engineering concepts: funnel analytics, A/B testing infrastructure, activation and retention mechanics, PLG motions.
• Strong data instincts—you can read funnels, understand cohorts, and instrument features for learning.
• Experience building with or integrating AI/ML features into product surfaces (recommendations, personalization, automation).
• AI fluency: you actively use AI tools to accelerate work and coach your team to do the same.

Responsibilities

• Own Growth engineering end-to-end: acquisition funnel, onboarding flows, PLG loops, retention systems.
• Partner with Product Growth leadership to align engineering velocity with strategic growth bets.
• Drive high-cadence experiments: implement, measure, and ship learnings quickly.
• Lead AI-powered growth efforts: personalization and onboarding intelligence at scale.
• Hire, coach, and retain strong engineers; build a high-trust, high-performing team.
