Job summary

Samuel, Son & Co. is seeking an experienced EHS Manager to lead our safety program across three plants and several warehouses. You will develop Job Safety Analyses, conduct ergonomic assessments, manage injuries and the workers' compensation program, and coordinate annual noise testing.

The role involves ~25% travel, on-site responsibilities, and ensuring compliance with OSHA/EPA regulations while maintaining EHS documentation and training programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Industrial Hygiene, Health Science, Industrial Safety or related field.
• Will also consider associate’s degree with 5–10 years directly related experience.
• 5+ years industrial EHS Manager experience with multiple site responsibilities.
• Working knowledge of OSHA and EPA/State regulations.
• Proficient with MS Office Products (Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Outlook, Word).

Responsibilities

• Lead the PSG safety program across 3 plants and multiple warehouses with indirect reports.
• ~25% travel required to support sites and audits.
• Develop and implement Job Safety Analysis for each job.
• Coordinate annual noise level readings/testing in all areas.
• Maintain location compliance calendar and EHS records.
• Manage injuries, illnesses, and workers’ compensation program.
• Ensure routine inspections of safety equipment and emergency gear.
• Lead ergonomic assessments and corrective actions.
• Conduct new employee safety orientation and mandated trainings.
• Assist investigations, root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Maintain department budget and support plant financial objectives.
• Review sampling procedures, records, and data prior to submittal.
• Support engineering on new processes, construction and renovations.
• Produce reports and statistical analysis of Health and Safety data.
