Job summary

Arcadis seeks a principal groundwater scientist/engineer (Engineer, Environmental Scientist, Geologist, or Hydrogeologist) to support remediation and water resources projects across the US and abroad. The role emphasizes quantitative hydrogeology, CSМ development, and advanced modeling to deliver high-quality work.

The position requires leadership, collaboration with regulatory agencies, and mentoring junior staff, with field work and travel anticipated to 5–20% of the time.

Qualifications

Minimum 15–20 years of experience in groundwater science/engineering.
MS in Geology, Hydrogeology, Engineering, Environmental Science or related field.
Knowledge of US environmental and water resources regulatory regimes.
PE or RG/PG licensure.
40-hour HAZWOPER training.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

Quantitative/qualitative interpretation of hydrogeologic systems and CSМ development.
Remedial system conceptual design and performance evaluation.
Analytical calculations and water resource evaluations.
Development of planning documents, reports, and presentations.
Lead field activities: soil borings, groundwater monitoring wells, sampling.
