Job summary

GAI Consultants, Inc. seeks an experienced Grid Modernization Engineering Lead to guide microgrid, DER and renewable+storage projects from feasibility through implementation.

The role reports to the Power and Industry Business Sector Leader and requires leadership of technical delivery, business pursuit support, and client collaboration. The ideal candidate has 12+ years of direct microgrid/DER experience, strong engineering and project management skills, and proficiency with CAD, Office tools,

Qualifications

• Twelve (12)+ years of direct technical experience with microgrids/DERs from feasibility to implementation.
• Proven success in engineering or project management and directing multiple complex projects.
• Client development experience is preferred but not required.
• Mastery of PM techniques to increase productivity, efficiency and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering design reviews, stamping, and QA/QC.
• Support development of business plans through white papers and client discussions.
• Manage project scope, schedule, budget, safety and profitability.
• Coordinate pre-contract work, strategy, scope, schedule, and fees.
• Mentor and supervise technical staff within the division.
