Job summary

GAI Consultants, Inc. seeks an experienced Grid Modernization Engineering Lead to drive microgrid and DER projects from feasibility to implementation. You will lead technical delivery, manage budgets and schedules, and act as a technical liaison with clients.

The role requires strong engineering design skills, leadership, and the ability to oversee multiple projects while coordinating with business sector leaders across the Power Business Unit.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of direct technical experience with microgrids/DERs from feasibility to implementation.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license and reciprocity in multiple states.
• B.S. or MS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering design, drawing review and QA/QC on projects.
• Manage scope, schedule, budget and profitability of projects.
• Coordinate pre-contract work including strategy and scope.
• Mentor and supervise engineering staff within the division.
• Engage with clients and support business development activities.
