Job summary

Crystal Equation Corporation seeks a Senior Graphics Engineer V for remote work to advance a high-performance rendering engine used in cutting-edge research experiences. You’ll drive features, optimize Vulkan-based pipelines, and push HDR rendering while collaborating with researchers and engineers across the lab and company.

You will profile GPU/CPU performance, implement deferred shading, ray tracing, and cross-platform tooling, and write thorough documentation for reproducible results.

Qualifications

• Strong C++ programming skills and modern Vulkan experience.
• Hands-on desktop graphics development experience.
• Solid understanding of real-time rendering, graphics pipeline and GPU architecture.
• Experience profiling and optimizing graphics performance on GPU and CPU.
• Familiarity with Git or Mercurial version control.
• Excellent communication and attention to detail.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS/SE or related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize features in a modern Vulkan rendering engine.
• Profile and improve GPU/CPU performance across the rendering pipeline.
• Implement advanced rendering techniques like deferred shading, ray tracing, and HDR.
• Push display quality with high refresh-rate, HDR color accuracy.
• Integrate engine with lab and company research systems.
• Triage, fix bugs across rendering stack and experiences built with it.
• Contribute to tooling, build health, and cross-platform support (Linux, Windows, Mac).
• Write documentation and prepare components for potential external release.
