Job summary

thatgamecompany is seeking a Senior Graphics Engineer to join our engine team. You’ll develop high-performance C++ systems for a proprietary engine, focusing on real-time rendering, scalability and cross-device performance.

You will design and maintain rendering features, pipelines and tools, profile GPU/CPU performance, and mentor teammates while staying current with graphics trends across platforms.

Qualifications

• Expert-level C++ with deep knowledge of performance tuning, multi-threading and low-level engine systems.
• Shipped large-scale 3D games across multiple platforms.
• Experience with game engines and art/content pipelines.
• Deep understanding of modern rendering pipelines and graphics APIs (Vulkan, Metal).
• Proficiency with GPU profiling and debugging tools.
• At least 6 years in the game industry.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-performance C++ systems for our proprietary engine, focusing on real-time rendering, performance and scalability.
• Design, implement, and maintain rendering features, core engine components, tools and graphics pipelines.
• Profile and optimize GPU and CPU performance across devices, with emphasis on mobile.
• Write clean, maintainable code with documentation and comments.
• Mentor teammates, share best practices, and stay current with graphics trends.
