Job summary

The American Heart Association is seeking a Sr. Grant Administrator for the Voices for Healthy Kids team. This home-based role coordinates complex, multi-million-dollar grants, aligning program goals with budgets, systems, and reporting to ensure efficiency and impact.

You will lead cross-functional collaboration across finance, legal, operations, and technology while supporting grant strategies and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 5 years of meaningful experience.
• Strong accounting, budgeting, and grant management skills.

Responsibilities

• Integrates grant requirements into the program and monitors processes. Develops and maintains internal records and systems to support program management.
• Monitors budgets and spending, collaborates with financial management staff; responsible for all budget reporting.
• Coordinates program budget development with leadership and funder expectations.
• Monitor budgets and expenditures, analyze financial activity and provide variance reporting.
• Co-ordinates work with internal stakeholders across finance, legal, operations, development, advocacy, and tech.
• Develop and maintain internal systems, controls, and documentation for audit readiness.
• Act as the Voices technology coordinator, optimizing systems for grantmaking and reporting.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal teams, partners, and grantees.
• Lead or contribute to cross-functional initiatives and project teams.
• Contributes to operational planning for grant-making through innovation and system enhancements.
• Provide guidance and oversight to team members; may serve as team lead.
