Job summary

The Medical College of Wisconsin is seeking an experienced accounting professional to provide financial, accounting and administrative support for grant and post-award activities. You will prepare external financial reports, manage invoices, monitor expenditures and assist with audits under federal guidelines.

The role requires a Bachelors degree in Accounting and at least six years of relevant experience, with strong knowledge of grant regulations and Oracle grants management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
• 6+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in grants and contracts.
• Experience with external agency regulations and federal OMB Uniform Guidance is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare external financial reports per agency guidelines (monthly invoicing and status reports).
• Prepare journal entries and cost transfers for project accounts.
• Monitor grant expenditures, re-budgeting and cost-sharing for allowability and allocability.
• Create monthly invoices for sponsors; manage accounts receivable and collections.
• Perform close-out activities and prepare for audits under OMB 2 CFR Part 200.
