Job summary

The Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee seeks a Grants Analyst I to support investigators and research staff by preparing and submitting grant applications, negotiating terms, and ensuring sponsor compliance. You will partner with the Grants and Contracts Office to review proposals and manage pre-award activities, including subrecipient awards.

Qualifications

• Pre-award research support is a lengthy, detailed process requiring organization and follow-through.
• Strong knowledge of NIH and OMB regulations and ability to interpret policies for research management.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Serve as GCO point of contact for a book of business including basic science and clinical departments.
• Review grant applications, proposals and funding requests.
• Prepare submissions to sponsors and complete submissions to funding agencies on behalf of MCW.
• Negotiate terms and conditions of grant and contract awards, and accept awards for the institution.
• Assist in testing eBridge upgrades and issues.
