Job summary

The City of Kingman, located in Mohave County, seeks a Senior Grants Specialist to manage grant lifecycle from application to closeout. You will research funding opportunities, prepare compelling proposals, and liaise with agencies and stakeholders to secure funding.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related field.
• Three years of professional level experience performing grant administration.
• Equivalent combination of education, experience and training.

Responsibilities

• Grant Lifecycle Administration & Project Management – Oversees full-cycle grant administration for City departments and City-sponsored community grant programs.
• Regulatory Compliance & Policy Interpretation – Ensures adherence to federal, state, and local grant regs and guides internal departments on compliance matters.
• Financial Management & Reporting – Handles grant accounting, reconciles grant accounts, and prepares reports for agencies and management.
• Professional Standards, Coordination & Administrative Support – Maintains grant files, participates in meetings, and supports admin needs.
