Job summary

Gila County is seeking a Grants Manager to lead the county’s grant program, including development, administration, compliance, and reporting. The role partners with departments to identify funding opportunities aligned with priorities and capital projects.

The candidate will oversee proposal development, budgets, narratives, and performance measures, ensuring compliance with federal, state, tribal, and private funders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Communications, English, Journalism, Finance, or a related field.
• Five (5) years of grant writing, administrative, development, research, and/or project support; or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and update the County’s grant funding strategy and identify opportunities.
• Assist departments with grant eligibility, proposals, and presentations to management and the Board.
• Research and monitor federal, state, foundation, corporate, and other funding opportunities and deadlines.
• Gather data, draft narratives, budgets, performance measures, and other required grant components.
• Coordinate grant development with departments, finance, project managers, consultants, and partners to meet deadlines.
• Prepare, edit, and submit grant applications, ensuring compliance with funding agency requirements.
