Job summary

Gila County in Globe, Arizona seeks a Grants Manager to lead the county's grant development, administration, compliance, and reporting activities. The role works with county departments to identify funding opportunities that align with priorities, capital projects, infrastructure, and community goals.

You will collaborate with departments to prepare proposals, manage grant calendars, monitor requirements, and ensure timely reporting to funding agencies.

Responsibilities

• Consults with County management to develop and update the County's grant strategy.
• Assists departments to determine eligibility for grant funding and helps prepare proposals.
• Researches and monitors funding opportunities; maintains grant calendars and deadlines.
• Supports competitive grant applications with data, narratives, budgets, and measures.
• Coordinates development activities with departments, finance, PMs, consultants, partners.
• Prepares and submits grant packages; formats, assembles docs, enters data, ensures compliance.
• Ensures County compliance with grant requirements.
• Develops controls for compliant grant acquisition, implementation, oversight.
• Establishes policies for compliant grant management across agencies.
• Maintains knowledge of best practices in grant administration and compliance.
• Provides administrative and reporting support to Finance for SEFA, agendas, and records.
• Provides training to staff in grant management and compliance.
• Maintains grant records and tracking systems, deadlines, and audits.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
