Job summary

Roche Sequencing is hiring a Bioinformatics Software Engineer to design and develop automated verification tests for bioinformatics components and pipelines used in sequencing products.

You will work on distributed, scale-out Next-Generation Sequencing data analysis software, collaborating with research and algorithm experts to accelerate techniques using GPU hardware while supporting the software lifecycle and Design Control processes.

Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD in Software Engineering, Data Science, Computational Biology or related field.
• 5+ years in OOP with C++ and GPU-accelerated C/C++ libraries.
• Strong Python experience with numerical computing and data science libraries.
• Experience with CI/CD tools and concepts.
• Experience designing, documenting and executing verification tests.
• Self-driven, detail oriented, analytical and quick learner.
• Team player with strong interdisciplinary collaboration skills.
