Job summary

Accela is seeking an experienced Senior Program/Project Manager to lead large-scale professional services implementations for government clients. You will drive start-to-finish delivery, manage budgets, mitigate risks, and coordinate across consultants, architects, PMO, cloud operations, and product teams to achieve defined customer outcomes.

You will engage with CxO-level stakeholders, balance competing demands, and contribute to business development efforts while maintaining a strong focus on

Qualifications

• 5 years leading government enterprise software implementations.
• 5 years leading $1M+ projects lasting 12+ months with multiple departments.
• PMP certification preferred; skilled in planning/tracking complex projects.
• Experience managing multiple complex projects at various stages.
• Aptitude for understanding new technologies and methodologies.
• BA/BS in a technical discipline or equivalent degree.
• Experience using formal PM tools (MS-Project/Visio).
• Strong analytical skills and stakeholder management.
• Ability to interact with CxO-level personnel.
• Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.
• Permitting and Licensing knowledge desired.
• Willing to travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Manage engagements start-to-finish using standard PM principles; lead planning and budgeting.
• Drive on-time and on-budget completion; track progress and risks; report health metrics.
• Foster effective client communications and escalate as needed; support steering committees.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration across Consultants, Architects, PMO, Cloud Ops, Product, Support, Partners.
• Support business development: proposals and budget estimation.
