Job summary

Accela is seeking a results‑driven professional to own cross‑functional Professional Services delivery for large government software implementations in the United States. You will drive on‑time, on‑budget project delivery, mentor teams, and partner with customers to maximize business value from our platform.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years delivering COTS-based government solutions, 1M+ budgets, PMP preferred, and strong communication with CxO stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 5 years leading COTS software implementations for Tier-1 government clients.
• 5 years leading projects of $1M+ budget, 12+ months, across multiple government departments or groups.
• PMP certification preferred; skilled at planning and tracking complex projects and driving teams to high productivity.
• Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects at various delivery stages.
• Aptitude for understanding and applying new technologies and methodologies.
• BA or BS in a technical discipline, or similar technical degree program.
• Use of formal project management tools (e.g., MS-Project, Visio).
• Strong analytical and organizational skills; ability to interact with CxO-level personnel and manage competing client demands.

Responsibilities

• Project Management: Manage engagements start‑to‑finish using standard project management principles; lead planning and budgeting; mobilize cross‑functional teams; champion the SOW.
• Project Health: Drive on‑time and on‑budget completion; track progress; identify risks; implement risk mitigation and reporting metrics for transparency.
• Customer Relationship Management: Foster effective communication with clients; serve as the first escalation point; support executive steering committees.
• Cross Functional Teamwork: Lead collaboration across Consultants, Architects, PMO, Cloud Ops, Product, Support, Partners, and others.
• Business Development: Support initiatives to grow new business and assist in proposal development and budget estimation.
