Job summary

Accela is seeking an experienced Project Manager to drive large, complex Professional Services implementations for government clients. You will lead cross-functional teams, manage budgets, and ensure on-time delivery while maximizing customer value and business outcomes.

The role emphasizes governance, risk management, and seamless go-live transitions, with travel up to 25% to serve government customers across regions. Collaboration with Product, Cloud Ops, and Support is essential.

Qualifications

• 5 years leading government software/platform-based implementations at Tier-1 government clients or equivalent stakeholder navigation.
• 5 years leading complex projects, $1M+ budgets, 12+ months, multiple departments.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects at various delivery stages.
• Experience owning budgets and burn, and direct customer scope conversations.
• Technical literacy to read configuration repositories and workflow diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Manage engagements from start to finish using standard project management practices.
• Drive on-time and on-budget project completion with risk tracking and mitigation.
• Maintain Jira projects with consistent templates, boards, dashboards, and definitions of done.
• Lead go-live readiness reviews and smooth transitions to Customer Success.
• Maintain strong client communications, escalation handling, and stakeholder alignment.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams and support business development activities.
