Job summary

Promise is seeking a skilled attorney to own end-to-end government contracting, including reviewing solicitations, drafting agreements, and negotiating terms with federal, state, and local entities.

You will partner with security on FedRAMP and data privacy reviews, while advising pursuit and deployment teams on risk, deal structure, and regulatory questions. Growth into senior leadership is expected.

Qualifications

• JD and active membership in the bar of at least one U.S. state.
• 5+ years of practicing law with government contracts, federal/state/local procurement experience.
• Familiarity with FedRAMP and government security reviews; data protection knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Review, draft, and negotiate federal, state, local government contracts and customer agreements.
• Coordinate security review and certifications (FedRAMP, agency security questionnaires).
• Advise on solicitation requirements, representations, and flow-downs to ensure bids are compliant and signable.
• Develop and improve contracts templates, playbooks, and processes as the company grows.
• Manage outside counsel when needed to balance risk and cost.
• Monitor changes in procurement rules, data privacy, and regulatory regimes.
