Job summary

BDO USA is seeking an Experienced Senior, Outsourced Finance & Accounting Associate to oversee the full cycle general accounting function for Government Contracting clients. Responsibilities include GL, AP/AR, payroll, cost allocations, and project accounting to ensure profitability and compliance with FAR/CAS/DCAA.

The role requires a Bachelor's in accounting/finance, 3+ years GovCon experience, and strong Excel proficiency; CPA or CPA candidate is preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of U.S. GAAP, FAR, CAS, and DCAA requirements
• Experience in government contracting accounting environment preferred
• CPA or CPA candidate preferred

Responsibilities

• Oversee full cycle general accounting: GL, AP/AR, payroll, fixed assets, cash management
• Assist with monthly/quarterly/annual close and GAAP-compliant statements
• Support revenue recognition, contract accounting, and policy maintenance per GovCon regulations
• Ensure compliance with FAR, CAS, DCAA and maintain a DCAA-compliant accounting system
• Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis for leadership decisions
