Job summary

BDO USA in the United States is seeking an Experienced Senior, Outsourced Finance & Accounting Associate to perform and oversee the full cycle general accounting for Government Contracting clients.

You will manage GL, AP/AR, payroll, cash, and project accounting while ensuring GAAP compliance and timely close processes.

This role requires a CPA or CPA candidate, 3+ years GovCon accounting experience, advanced Excel, and familiarity with GovCon ERP systems.

Qualifications

• Three (3) or more years of progressive accounting experience in a government contracting environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is required.
• CPA or CPA candidate, preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word.
• Experience with government contractor ERP systems (Deltek Costpoint, Unanet, PROCAS) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees full-cycle general accounting for GovCon clients.
• Manages GL, AP/AR, payroll, fixed assets, cash management.
• Ensures GAAP-compliant statements and close processes.
• Maintains compliance with FAR, CAS, DCAA and gov contracting regs.
• Supports project accounting, funding, invoicing, and cost allocations.
• Provides training and guidance to Associates.
