Job summary

BDO USA is seeking an Experienced Senior, Outsourced Finance & Accounting Associate to manage the full cycle general accounting function for Government Contracting clients. The role requires GAAP expertise, customer-focused analysis, and mastery of GovCon ERP systems.

You will support monthly closes, ensure FAR/CAS/DCAA compliance, and help with budgeting and cost allocations. A CPA or CPA candidate is preferred and a Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is required.
• Three (3) or more years of progressive accounting experience in a government contracting environment is required.
• CPA or CPA candidate is preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and Word, is required.
• Experience with Deltek Costpoint, Unanet, PROCAS, and other government contractor ERP systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees full cycle general accounting for GovCon clients, including GL, AP/AR, payroll, and project accounting.
• Supports monthly, quarterly, and annual close, and GAAP-compliant statements.
• Ensures compliance with FAR, CAS, DCAA, and federal contracting regulations.
• Assists with budgeting, forecasting, indirect rate planning, and financial analysis.
