Job summary

BDO USA in West Palm Beach seeks an Experienced Senior, Outsourced Finance & Accounting Associate to oversee the full cycle general accounting for Government Contracting clients. You’ll manage GL, AP/AR, payroll, fixed assets, and cash management within GovCon frameworks.

You will assist with monthly/quarterly close, GAAP-compliant statements, and ensure FAR, CAS, and DCAA compliance while supporting budgeting, forecasting, and project costing to drive profitability.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of progressive accounting experience in a government contracting environment.
• CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with government contracting ERP systems such as Deltek Costpoint, Unanet, PROCAS is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee full cycle general accounting for GovCon clients.
• Handle GL, AP/AR, payroll, fixed assets, and cash management.
• Assist monthly, quarterly, and annual close; GAAP statements.
• Ensure FAR, CAS, DCAA compliance and DCAA-compliant systems.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and project costing.
