Remote Crew is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to design and scale distributed systems powering conversational AI for large enterprise retailers. You’ll own backend services in Go, work with cloud infrastructure, and collaborate with product, AI, and frontend teams in a fast-moving environment.

Remote-first in Europe, this role emphasizes DevOps, infrastructure-as-code with Terraform, Kubernetes, and AWS, plus strong emphasis on reliability, observability, and security.

Qualificações

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering roles building backend or distributed systems.
• Strong experience with Go for backend service development.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform for infrastructure-as-code.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration.
• Solid experience with AWS cloud infrastructure and services.
• Experience with event-driven architectures and technologies (Kafka, Postgres, DynamoDB).

Responsabilidades

• Design, build and maintain distributed backend systems using Go and cloud infrastructure (AWS).
• Develop and scale services using Kafka, Postgres, DynamoDB and other cloud-native technologies.
• Define, implement and manage infrastructure-as-code using Terraform for cloud resource provisioning.
• Design, deploy and manage Kubernetes clusters for containerized application orchestration.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to enable reliable, frequent deployments.
• Collaborate with product, AI and frontend teams to deliver scalable customer-facing features.
• Own key parts of platform infrastructure including messaging orchestration, data pipelines and deployment systems.
• Ensure reliability, observability and operational excellence across services.
• Define and track performance metrics to improve system performance and business outcomes.
• Implement security best practices and compliance requirements in infrastructure design.
• Contribute to code reviews, mentor teammates and promote engineering best practices
