Job summary

Qonto in the United States is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to design, build, deploy, and maintain services that process real financial transactions with real-time reliability and accuracy.

You will co-own service architecture, lead design discussions, mentor engineers, and drive continuous improvement—from flaky CI fixes to post‑mortems—while collaborating with PMs, designers, and other stacks in English.

Qualifications

• Strong backend engineering experience with large-scale web apps.
• Fluent in English; able to work with PMs and designers in squad teams.
• Able to write tests, monitor, handle incidents, and perform root cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, deploy, and maintain services handling real financial transactions.
• Own reliability in production and co-own architecture for scalability.
