Job summary

Quanata, a remote‑first engineering team, is seeking a Senior Back End Engineer to design and maintain core services powering our insurance‑tech platform. You will build scalable back end systems, connect data and ML workflows, and ensure performance, reliability, and security.

You will own complex features from design through deployment, shape architecture and data flows, and mentor other engineers while collaborating with teams across the stack.

Qualifications

• 6–8 years of backend or full‑stack software engineering experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with Go, Python, Ruby, TypeScript, or C# in production systems.
• Designing, debugging, and deploying high‑performance client/server software.
• Experience with databases and messaging systems; cloud and CI/CD familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain core backend services and infrastructure.
• Develop scalable data and ML workflows, APIs, and data models.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to architectural decisions.
• Improve system reliability, observability, and security.
• Collaborate across teams to ship high‑quality features.
