Job summary

Andersen is seeking an experienced backend engineer to build and evolve a real-time cross-selling platform in a fintech/insurance context. You will own the backend powering multiple apps, advance gRPC-based microservices, and design robust REST APIs that integrate with core platforms and third-party services.

You'll model transactional PostgreSQL data, implement event-driven workflows, and ensure high availability through scalable, fault-tolerant designs.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of commercial software development experience, incl. 4+ years with Go.
• Strong hands-on Go experience, including goroutines and channels.
• Experience building and maintaining gRPC-based microservices and REST APIs.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, Docker, and message brokers (RabbitMQ or Kafka).
• Proficient testing (unit/integration) and service monitoring with Prometheus and Grafana.
• Backend design focusing on scalability, availability and fault tolerance.
• English at Upper-Intermediate+ level; insurance/fintech domain knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve a real-time cross-selling platform with live data flows.
• Own backend powering multiple user-facing apps and microservice architecture.
• Design and maintain REST/gRPC APIs integrating core platforms and third parties.
• Model transactional PostgreSQL data (policies, claims, customers, audits).
• Implement event-driven workflows with RabbitMQ or Kafka.
• Write unit and integration tests for monetary calculations and claims accuracy.
• Instrument services with Grafana and Prometheus for monitoring.
• Participate in code reviews to maintain high quality and reliability.
• Contribute to scalable, available, fault-tolerant platform design.
