Dotlinkers is seeking a Senior Product Engineer focused on backend systems for AI image/video generation. You will own services powering asynchronous jobs, queues, retries, and data processing, while improving observability, testing, and deployment processes.

This backend-focused role avoids frontend work and emphasizes reliability, performance, and ownership within a remote, globally distributed team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend software engineering experience.
• Strong experience with Go and PostgreSQL.
• Experience building and operating production backend systems.
• Good understanding of asynchronous processing, job queues, workers, retries, and idempotency.
• Experience with monitoring, troubleshooting, performance optimisation, and production incidents.
• Familiarity with automated testing, CI/CD, and safe deployment practices.
• Ability to take ownership of systems and make sound technical decisions.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain backend services and APIs for AI image/video generation.
• Design data models and backend architecture to support growing workloads.
• Develop reliable background processing workflows with queues, retries and error handling.
• Ensure generation jobs run safely, efficiently, and without duplicates.
• Improve automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and safe deployment processes.
• Monitor production systems, investigate incidents, and improve performance and reliability.
• Take ownership of the systems and evolve their architecture as the platform grows.
