Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Sr. Principal International Trade Compliance Analyst to join the Global Trade organization. The role supports the Weapons Integration & Mission Solutions unit and can be based in McLean, VA; Linthicum, MD; or Warner Robins, GA.

You will manage export/import controls, obtain licenses, perform gate reviews, maintain records, and develop compliance strategies. Travel up to 10% and a US Secret clearance are required; strong training and collaboration skills are

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus 8+ years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree plus 6+ years of relevant experience. Four additional years of experience can be considered in lieu of degree.
• Experience utilizing and applying the ITAR and EAR, including making jurisdiction and classification determinations
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret Clearance
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (up to 10%)
• Experience applying U.S. Government regulatory requirements in complex scenarios

Responsibilities

• Manage internal export and import controls to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Submit to and obtain from the US government all necessary export and import licenses, permits, certifications, and technology release determinations.
• Execute operational processes to ensure regulatory trade compliance through gate reviews of technical data, foreign travel, foreign visits and shipments.
• Maintain trade compliance records in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with functional areas to develop authorization strategies and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Mentor junior Analysts and Technical Advisors on export regulations and internal processes.
• Develop and deliver export training to leadership and staff.
