Job summary

DSV – Global Transport and Logistics is seeking an Operations Manager to lead day-to-day site operations, including warehousing, receiving, and shipping, while ensuring safety, quality, and cost objectives are met. You will plan inbound/outbound volumes, optimize space, and manage equipment, staff training, and performance reviews.

You will collaborate with HR on hiring, training, and development, drive continuous improvement, and report progress to senior management and clients.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• 7 years of experience in logistics/distribution or a related environment.
• 5 years in a supervisory role and ability to work in unregulated warehouse temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Supervise warehousing, receiving and shipping in alignment with cost and service objectives.
• Plan inbound/outbound volume and manage space, equipment and customer communications.
• Hire, train, and conduct performance appraisals; address performance issues.
• Lead continuous improvement efforts and meet client KPIs and SOPs.
• Coordinate with HR for hiring, training and development programs.
• Keep senior management informed of critical operational issues.
• Oversee budgeting, cost controls and adherence to contracts.
