Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED required.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Strong customer service, organizational and written/oral communication skills.
• Solid knowledge of freight forwarding or logistics.
• Familiar with air export regulations and related export classifications.
• Banking requirements for international trade.
• Regulations regarding dangerous goods shipping and foreign regulations.
• Familiarity with hazardous materials handling.
• DOT import/export regulations knowledge.
• Basic math skills for metric and currency conversions.
• Minimum 3 years of freight forwarding or logistics experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide high level customer service and maintain relationships with frontline personnel.
• Prepare and submit documentation to agents and clients in compliance with laws and regulations.
• Develop rates and provide quotes for freight movement; research and negotiate air carrier and CFS rates.
• Manage billing, payments, and delinquent accounts; resolve issues and adjust data as needed.
• Handle iServe cases and assist in account implementation and SOP development.
• Coordinate out-of-gauge and hazmat shipments; review letters of credit and ITAR shipments.
• Support training within the department and assist in workflow productivity improvements.
• Participate in customer QBR meetings and maintain relationships with brokers and service providers.
