Job summary

FedEx Logistics in South San Francisco, CA, seeks a Customer Service Representative to ensure timely release and movement of freight. You will build strong relationships with customers and coordinate with customs brokers and internal teams to resolve issues and keep shipments moving.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, strong communication skills, and proficiency in MS Office. About 12 months of brokerage/transportation or customer service experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 12 months of brokerage or transportation experience and/or customer service experience required.
• MS Office, Outlook, Office equipment (phone, fax, photocopier, printer, scanner) required.

Responsibilities

• Provide high level of customer service by developing and maintaining relationships with customers' front line personnel across divisions.
• Prepare, analyze, and/or submit documentation to parties (U.S. Customs, agents, clients) to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
• Anticipate, identify, and resolve problems delaying shipment releases or movements.
• Resolve billing issues and coordinate post-entry activity for customers.
• Research and negotiate carrier rates; provide quotes for freight movement.
