Nordstrom is seeking a seasoned Senior General Liability Claims Analyst to join its in-house Legal department in Seattle, WA. The role focuses on independently managing and adjusting general liability claims, including customer injuries, property damage, and product liability, with a strong emphasis on customer service and cross-functional teamwork.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7+ years of experience as a general liability claims analyst/examiner.
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience working in customer service.
• Knowledge of tort, contract/indemnity and insurance issues, as well as medical and legal terminology.
• Prior experience with self-insured, self-administered employer preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and adjust a wide range of general liability claims including customer injury, property damage, and product liability.
• Provide support for attorney-represented pre-litigation claims.
• Investigate, evaluate, negotiate and administer claims.
• Assist with other claims-related support, investigations, regulatory matters, subpoenas, discovery, and invoicing.
