Job summary

EY in the United States seeks a General Ledger / Accounts Payable Senior Associate to support day-to-day GL, AP and expense activities. You will prepare journal entries, reconcile accounts, and ensure GAAP compliance.

You will work with cross-functional finance teams, assist with audits, and leverage Costpoint and Excel; a security clearance will be required, and experience with government contracting is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field or equivalent experience.
• 4–6 years related accounting experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
• Deltek Costpoint experience required.
• Experience with government contracting.
• Proficiency in Excel including pivots, formulas and lookups.

Responsibilities

• Maintain general ledger structure and perform close activities.
• Process accounts payable vouchers and expense reports per policies.
• Prepare journal entries and supporting documentation timely.
• Support internal/external audits with schedules and responses.
• Reconcile GL and AP subledgers to the general ledger.
• Collaborate with finance teams to ensure compliant reporting.
• Develop procedures and training materials for GL/AP processes.
• Adapt to Costpoint enhancements and system testing.
