Job summary

EY in the United States is seeking a General Ledger / Accounts Payable Senior Associate to support daily GL, AP, and expense processing. You will prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and assist with audits while ensuring compliance with GAAP, FAR, CAS and EY policies.

The role requires collaboration across finance teams, strong analytical skills, and a focus on compliance and timely reporting. Remote AI tooling usage is anticipated to improve efficiency in this government contracting

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum of 4–6 years of related accounting experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
• Deltek Costpoint required; experience with government contracting.
• Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables and lookups.

Responsibilities

• Maintain general ledger structures and perform close activities in line with GAAP and EY policies.
• Review journal entries and prepare supporting documentation.
• Perform balance sheet and income statement reconciliations and resolve variances.
• Support subperiod-end, month-end, quarter-end and year-end close.
• Process accounts payable vouchers and expense reports; maintain vendor records and subledger.
• Assist with audits, provide schedules and respond to audit requests.
