Job summary

EY is seeking a General Ledger/Accounts Payable Senior Associate in the US to support daily GL, AP, and expense functions. You will prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and assist with audits, while ensuring compliance with GAAP, FAR, and CAS.

Qualified candidates bring a bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance and 4–6 years of related experience, with Costpoint and Excel proficiency. EY offers strong benefits and a flexible, inclusive culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field.
• 4–6 years of accounting experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
• Deltek Costpoint required.
• Experience with government contracting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel with pivot tables and lookups.

Responsibilities

• Maintain general ledger account structures and configurations.
• Ensure transactions comply with GAAP, FAR, CAS, and EY policies.
• Review journal entry requests for accuracy and documentation.
• Prepare journal entries and schedules to deadlines.
• Maintain audit-ready entry documentation.
• Perform balance sheet and income statement reconciliations.
• Support period-end close activities and audits.
• Assist with Costpoint enhancements and system testing.
• Develop reconciliation templates and desktop procedures.
• Collaborate with G&I Finance and Compliance teams.
• Process AP vouchers and expense reports per policy.
• Verify supporting docs and project/account validity.
• Train staff on systems and policies.
• Maintain vendor master records and AP subledger.
• Prepare subcontractor and vendor accruals for close.
