Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior GIS Specialist to join our Environmental Services Geospatial team. You will lead GIS projects using ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online, deliver spatial analyses, create web maps and dashboards, and mentor junior staff within a collaborative, consulting environment.

Based in Minnesota or Wisconsin, you will work with multidisciplinary teams on environmental assessments, permitting, water resources, and infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• Educated knowledge and experience with Esri ArcGIS software, especially ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online, plus ArcGIS Experience Builder, Field Maps, and Survey123.
• Experience solving problems with GIS, presenting results, and reporting analytics for multidisciplinary teams.
• Technical training in GIS mapping, geospatial analysis, and geographic principles (map projections, coordinate systems).
• Strong cartographic skills and ability to communicate complex information clearly.
• Experience with AGO products (WebMaps, WebApps, Dashboards, StoryMaps).
• Data management and organization skills; ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain spatial and non-spatial information using ESRI ArcGIS software.
• Prepare web maps, dashboards, and manage data for field survey crews.
• Lead GIS projects, manage budgets and timelines within a multi-disciplinary team.
• Maintain data integrity and quality control procedures.
• Communicate with clients to discuss geospatial approaches.
