Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior GIS Specialist to join our Environmental Services Geospatial team in Madison/Green Bay, WI. You will lead GIS projects using ESRI ArcGIS software, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and deliver geospatial solutions for clients.

The role emphasizes data management, cartography, dashboards, and client communication, with a strong focus on safety, quality, and professional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Educated with Esri ArcGIS software suite including ArcGIS Pro and AGO.
• Experience solving problems with GIS for multidisciplinary teams.
• Technical training in mapping, geospatial analysis, projections, and coordinates.
• Strong cartography and ability to present complex data clearly.
• Experience with AGO products and mobile data collection tools.
• Data management and organization skills; team-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain spatial and non-spatial information across ESRI platforms.
• Lead GIS projects, manage budgets and timelines in a multidisciplinary team.
• Prepare web maps, dashboards, and data for field survey crews.
• Analyze spatial data and perform geoprocessing tasks and scripting.
• Communicate with clients to discuss geospatial approaches and deliverables.
• Ensure data integrity and quality control; support proposals and pursuits.
