Job summary

Beacon Hill Staffing Group, LLC seeks an experienced Senior IT/Technology Project Manager with GIS project experience to lead a complex, large‑scale GIS modernization and implementation initiative. The project is currently in the design phase, with a third‑party consulting partner assessing the existing GIS environment, system architecture, data readiness, implementation approach, timeline, and costs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years IT project management experience, 10+ years preferred.
• Demonstrated GIS-related technology project delivery.
• Proven success with large-scale, enterprise initiatives.
• Experience from initiation to closeout including go-live.
• Strong written and verbal executive communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead large GIS technology initiative from design through closeout.
• Assess status, risks, dependencies and priorities.
• Develop realistic implementation roadmap and plan.
• Maintain detailed, resource-loaded schedules (MS Project).
• Coordinate across GIS, IT, architecture, operations and vendors.
• Manage scope, schedule, risks, issues, dependencies and resources.
• Ensure accountability and clear delivery expectations across workstreams.
• Hold vendors/consultants to project outcomes and timelines.
• Lead governance within Waterfall SDLC and stage-gate processes.
• Translate GIS and technical info into business decisions for leadership.
• Provide transparent project reporting to sponsors.
• Support business case development, scope, timelines and costs.
• Plan system migration, testing, cutover, training and operations readiness.
• Build stakeholder alignment across multiple groups.
