Job summary

Dahl Consulting is seeking a GIS Analyst II in St. Paul, MN. This hybrid, 12‑month contract role supports field service operations, business planning, and territory optimization through advanced geospatial analysis and mapping technologies.

You will deliver spatial intelligence, collaborate with leaders across functions, and improve service routes, territory design, and operational performance using ESRI ArcGIS and related tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geography, Planning, Environmental Science, GIS, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional GIS experience, including data development, manipulation, modeling, and spatial analysis.
• Advanced experience with ESRI ArcGIS platforms and geospatial technologies.
• Experience working with large datasets and integrating multiple data sources for analysis.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and data interpretation skills.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts and GIS findings to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Experience collaborating with cross‑functional teams in a business environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Teams and remote collaboration tools.

Responsibilities

• Analyze spatial and geographic data to identify trends, patterns, and business opportunities.
• Develop maps, reports, models, and visualizations that support strategic and operational decision‑making.
• Collaborate with field leadership and business stakeholders to optimize service routes and territory design.
• Utilize GIS technologies and analytical tools to improve field service efficiency and business outcomes.
• Present findings, recommendations, and actionable insights to stakeholders and leadership teams.
• Educate business partners on GIS methodologies and the interpretation of geospatial outputs.
• Apply geospatial analysis, statistical techniques, coding, and modeling tools to solve business challenges.
• Support the development and enhancement of GIS capabilities, tools, and processes.
• Work closely with GIS Specialists, Analysts, Developers, and business leaders on cross‑functional initiatives.
• Ensure data quality, accuracy, and consistency across GIS projects and reporting.
• Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
