Job Description
As a GIS Analyst II, you will support field service and business operations by delivering spatial intelligence, geographic analysis, and data‑driven recommendations. You will partner with business leaders, field management teams, and GIS professionals to improve service delivery, territory planning, and operational performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze spatial and geographic data to identify trends, patterns, and business opportunities.
- Develop maps, reports, models, and visualizations that support strategic and operational decision‑making.
- Collaborate with field leadership and business stakeholders to optimize service routes and territory design.
- Utilize GIS technologies and analytical tools to improve field service efficiency and business outcomes.
- Present findings, recommendations, and actionable insights to stakeholders and leadership teams.
- Educate business partners on GIS methodologies and the interpretation of geospatial outputs.
- Apply geospatial analysis, statistical techniques, coding, and modeling tools to solve business challenges.
- Support the development and enhancement of GIS capabilities, tools, and processes.
- Work closely with GIS Specialists, Analysts, Developers, and business leaders on cross‑functional initiatives.
- Ensure data quality, accuracy, and consistency across GIS projects and reporting.
- Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications Required
- Bachelor's degree in Geography, Planning, Environmental Science, GIS, or a related field.
- 5+ years of professional GIS experience, including data development, manipulation, modeling, and spatial analysis.
- Advanced experience with ESRI ArcGIS platforms and geospatial technologies.
- Experience working with large datasets and integrating multiple data sources for analysis.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and data interpretation skills.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts and GIS findings to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Experience collaborating with cross‑functional teams in a business environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Teams and remote collaboration tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ESRI Network Analyst tools, including Vehicle Routing Problem (VRP) optimization.
- Experience with geocoding, address matching, and spatial data validation.
- Background applying GIS to business analysis, route optimization, territory planning, reporting, and decision support.
- Experience with ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Enterprise, Portal, Experience Builder, Dashboards, SQL Azure, and enterprise geodatabases.
- Knowledge of geospatial statistics, spatial modeling, and advanced GIS workflows.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Experience reviewing datasets and reports for accuracy, completeness, and compliance standards.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Experience working in a fast‑paced, consulting, reporting, or advisory‑focused environment.
